Messy Church is a time when the young at heart of all ages come to enjoy being together in an informal environment, making things together, celebrating God together and finishing by sharing food together.

Messy Church is not just a craft club! Messy Church is to explore and experience faith and worship, draw closer to God and learn about becoming disciples of Jesus.

Messy Church has been running at All Saints Church on the first Sunday of the month since 2013 and we are now happy to announce that from September 2017 we will be working with Bakewell Methodist Church to bring a second Messy Church which will be held on the third Sunday at the Methodist Church.

We meet for worship on the first Sunday of each month at All Saints Church at 9:15am and the third Sunday at Bakewell Methodist Church at 4:30pm.

Come and Join us This Sunday 1st October

As we celebrate Harvest time at Messy Church

Our theme for September was a Holy Temple

This months theme was A Holy Temple based on the text from Ephesians 2:19-22. This passage tells us that Christ Jesus is our chief cornerstone and that by building our lives with Jesus as our foundation then we will no longer be strangers or foreigners but fellow citizens of Gods people together in one household where Gods spirits will dwell.

Our activities included building on different foundations, giant jenga and building malteaser towers. In our worship together we sang "In Christ Alone" accompanied by a video with scenes from The Chronicles of Narnia. The video was beautifully created and very touching. The video can be viewed on YouTube by clicking here.

Our theme for August was The Roman Soldiers Faith

We all know that the Romans were keen builders and brilliant strategists, so our activities included building the tallest and most interesting buildings using paper cups, playing a game of Roma (Roman tic-tac-toe) as well as other activities linking to the Soldiers Faith
