Messy Church is a time when the young at heart of all ages come to enjoy being together in an informal environment, making things together, celebrating God together and finishing by sharing food together.

Messy Church is not just a craft club! Messy Church is to explore and experience faith and worship, draw closer to God and learn about becoming disciples of Jesus.

Messy Church has been running at All Saints Church on the first Sunday of the month since 2013 and we are now happy to announce that from September 2017 we will be working with Bakewell Methodist Church to bring a second Messy Church which will be held on the third Sunday at the Methodist Church.

We meet for worship on the first Sunday of each month at All Saints Church at 9:15am and the third Sunday at Bakewell Methodist Church at 4:30pm.

Our next Messy Church will be on Sunday 7th January

As we celebrate Epiphany

Our theme for December was Is there room in your heart?

So much seemed to happen at Messy Church this month. We touched on Advent, we made decoration for the Messy Church Christmas Tree which can be view in the creche area of church during the Tree Festival and we still had time to decorate Christmas shaped biscuits.

The underpinning theme for December was Christmas, and during our worship together Ashdon asked us all a question

"Is there room in your heart?"

To help us answer the question we listened to a song by Casting Crowns called Make Room which can be viewed here

We all have things dear to each of us that takes up room in our hearts. These can range from the love of a family member to financial worry and many more things in between. We can all come to God just as we are and despite our hearts seeming to be full God can work with us, through us and for us if we just let Him into our hearts.
