All Saints Wednesday lunchtime talks

On Wednesday, 17  October, Peter Stubbs will give a talk entitled “ A life in Crime”. Peter will talk about his 35 years of practice as a criminal lawyer, an occupation  in which he never knew from day to day what was going to happen next. You will be introduced to many of his clients; some likeable, some nasty; some enterprising and intelligent; some stupid; some who have killed or attempted to kill; thieves, burglars, motor car thieves and joyriders, together with some rather unusual court cases.

The talk will take place in the Newark Room of All Saints Parish Church, Bakewell at 12 noon on Wednesday 17 October and will be followed by a soup and sandwich lunch. The cost is £10, inclusive of lunch and the proceeds will go to the Friends of Bakewell Parish Church, a charity which is currently raising funds for the restoration of the organ.

Please telephone Dot Bushen on 01629 814496 / 0775 2674719 to reserve your place for lunch.
